RKR Rotary Piston Blower Units

RKR's rotary piston blower units are designed for absolutely oil-free compression of air and nitrogen. With special stages and unit designs, they may also be used for landfill gas, sludge gas, mine gas, process gas, water vapor etc.

Our rotary piston blower units are used in the industry, in power plants, in wastewater treatment plants, in the food industry, in text bed engineering, in pneumatic conveying processes and for the compression of gases in the chemical industry.

Principle of operation (does not apply to Rotary Piston Blower Units with Pre-Inlet)

principle of operation

A certain volume is sealed off between rotor and casing and is transferred from the suction side to the discharge side. This principle of positive displacement causes the blower to adapt to the respective operating pressures of the plant. The volumetric flow changes only slightly with fluctuating counterpressures. Control gear wheels ensure a contact-free run of the rotors. The 3-lobed blowers have two channels cast into the casing wall that control the backstream of gas into the conveying chamber. This backstream produces sound waves which by interference cancel most of those produced by the blower. Absorption silencers featuring a simple design are sufficient for noise suppression within the pipes. This considerably reduces impact on subsequent piping.
